Emergency out of hours maintenance

Our maintenance department is open from 09:00–17:30 Monday to Thursday and 09:00–17:00 on Fridays. Tenants can report maintenance items via their apropos tenancy dashboard 24/7.

In the event of an out of hours emergency, tenants should instruct a local contractor to rectify or secure the position.

apropos will settle or re-imburse the appropriate associated contractor cost.

Items which are considered an emergency are as follows:

  1. Failure of the main heating or hot water system in winter, in a property housing vulnerable people
  2. Failure of domestic electricity or gas issue
    • Loss of electricity
    • Gas leak – Call SGN (0800 111 999). If possible, turn off the gas supply at the meter point and exit the property immediately.
  3. Significant water leak or flooding likely to cause damage to the property or adjacent properties and no means of turning the water off.
  4. Loss of security from damage to windows or main doors leaving the property vulnerable to break-in and/or the occupants’ safety is at risk.
  5. Fire – call 999
